iHealth-T2D is part of the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD)

The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases funds coordinated research programmes into non communicable diseases (NCDs). The ten member funding agencies represent more than 80 percent of the world’s public health funding capacity, and are both national and international funders. It unites research teams in high-income and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with the aim of tackling the burden of NCDs in LMICs by building the evidence base to underlie sound clinical practice and policymaking. Currently, their research programmes are investigating hypertension and diabetes and their project sites are within low- and middle-income countries, and aboriginal and vulnerable populations in high-income countries – www.gacd.org.
